Located in the heart of the Beach, Balsam is the first endeavour for lifelong friends David Salter and Executive Chef Nicholas Drake. Balsam's goal is to provide the Beaches with something it hasn't seen before in the neighbourhood.

The Restaurant itself is nestled in the trendy east end of Queen, Balsam offers two patios. The front patio sits raised above Queen Street for those who love the interaction of a bustling neighbourhood. The heated back patio provides a more intimate... More dining experience for those who like something a little more private. The heart of the restaurant sits in between the two patios. The sleek bistro blends classic design with a modern palate. At 28 seats it is an intimate dining space for a meal, or come sit at the slate topped bar for a cocktail and an appetizer. Regardless of what you are coming for, Balsam strives to please with its commitment to quality, and its versatility of dining experiences.
