The brewery began in an original tank house within the historic Gooderham & Worts Distillery complex, now known as the Historic Distillery District. Built in the late 1870s, the building is a well preserved example of classic Victorian industrial architecture.

In 2013 Mill St. Brewery added a new dimension to the Mill St. Brew Pub family with the launch of The Beer Hall. Using a sophisticated draught beer delivery system, The Beer Hall offers a selection of Mill St. beers pumped through copper encased beer lines. The delivery system also services a copper still that is used to distill the new Mill St. Bierschnaps.

Created from their award-winning craft beers, the Mill St. Bierschnaps, a traditional German style dry spirit, is a first for Canadian Craft brewers. The production of Bierschnaps brings back a 150 year old tradition of distilling to
Toronto's historic Distillery District.

The Beer Hall celebrates the tradition of its namesake with communal seating with a modern, lively atmosphere and showcases their space with an open concept kitchen, copper still and beer lines.

Elizabeth Rivasplata heads up the kitchen at The Beer Hall and she has created a menu designed for sharing and many items on the menu have been paired with one of Mill St. Brewery’s beers by Brewmaster Joel Manning.

55 Mill St. Bldg. 63
(647) 694-1184

Yummy Grill Restaurant

Located on Bathurst and Centre in Thornhill, this charming restaurant and grill is considered by many in the area as one of the best places to get your classic Middle-Eastern favourites at an affordable price. Many decades later, a Mediterranean restaurant opened in the location, placing, a very famous, nose over where the patio is today.

In 1991, Whitlock's restaurant officially opened, setting a new standard for dining. Now in 2009, we are happy to welcome "The Peoples Chef", Chef Ratha to our team. Set in the only wooden structure still in business, Whitlock's is a cozy and comfortable environment. Amit Kulkarni was the owner and chef of The Royal Kashmir which was located at Yonge and Eglinton. His engineering and financial background brings certain creativity and precision to his cooking. Kirsten Scott was born and raised in the Scarborough Bluff’s neighborhood. She has a passion for food, nutrition and balanced well-being. As different as these two are their love of food has brought them together in this little Indian restaurant called Nama. After working together for a number of years side by side with Amit, Kirsten has now opened Nama in the Cliffside Village.

Being mostly vegetarian, and at times a vegan, Kirsten is dedicated to a wide and pure vegetarian menu with many vegan selections. Her love of fish inspires truly fantastic fusion cooking taking Turbot, Halibut Steak, Tuna, and Basa fish together with traditional Indian Sauces to create subtle flavours with excellent texture. As with the Royal Kashmir, the meats used by Nama are first class. The lamb is fresh Ontario leg of lamb only, and the beef is AAA top Sirloin. These meats together with slow cooking and secret spices produce succulent dishes with additive flavors. The rice used is Tilda basmati rice which is one of the finest quality rice out of India today.

There are two chefs at Nama, Amit, who was born in Indian and raised in Kingston, Ontario, and Babulal Sharma who was part of the Royal Kashmir and is from Northern India, Punjab. Together they use their expertise to make fine Indian fare, and enjoy doing it.

2464 Kingston Rd.
(416) 264-0000

Cabal

We are Cabal, a clique of creative thinkers who conspire against the mainstream in pursuit of their vision.
