Venturing out to define Canadian cuisine is not an easy task. Canadians, from coast to coast to coast, eat a great variety of dishes. Our first challenge was to determine what items best exemplified the geographical and cultural diversity of Canada, and then how to bring them all together in a menu that would provide a unique dining experience for our guests. Our original menu was, literally, thirteen pages long. We became painfully aware that we could not do everything we wanted to, not all at once, anyway. Decisions were made and items were shuffled around. In the end, we put together a diverse menu of items ranging from BC Salmon, Alberta beef and Saskatoon berry pie. Manitoba bison, Ontario ham, Montreal smoked meat and lobster fresh from Halifax. These items, mixed in with what Canadians really eat. You'll find handmade burgers, fresh cut fries and crisp, green salads. You'll also find a range of fresh seafood, choice hand cut steaks and special daily features. We don't want to give away too much of what we've been up to, suffice to say your "experiences" will set a new bar.

The Royal Canadian Yacht Club was founded in Toronto in 1852 to serve both as a yachting recreational club and an unofficial auxiliary of the Royal Navy in the defence of the waters of Lake Ontario. We are one of Canada's premier sailing and social clubs, with an emphasis on family participation, the development of our junior sailors, and a Corinthian attitude towards excellence in sailing. The RCYC operates year round from two facilities: our summer home at the Island Clubhouse and our City Clubhouse in downtown Toronto. Our ballroom which is located on the second floor of the clubhouse can accommodate 180 guests with an attached enclosed veranda that can accommodate an additional 70 guests for a maximum of 250 guests.
