About
Simple, sublime seafood is always the catch of the day at this Summerhill fish restaurant, where locals rave about the squid ink pasta and the seafood risotto has a tidy following of its own. Joso’s selection beyond that is wide and well liked, with continuous kudos for the generosity of servings, the freshness of fare and the sweetly simple approach to its preparation. The premises inside which the food parade trots by is quirkily delightful, courtesy of an abundance of art pieces celebrating the female form. A comprehensive wine and cocktail list offers lots of libations for the fishies to swim along.

Review: Seafood Journey at Joso's

We did our first TV show at Joso's Restaurant. Joso, himself, was our first guest on our radio show.

In short, for me, it's a place to treasure. As it is for anyone who dines there.

We did our first TV show at Joso's Restaurant. Joso, himself, was our first guest on our radio show.

In short, for me, it's a place to treasure. As it is for anyone who dines there.

Joso's calamari really is one of the best. Ask Robert De Niro or any of the other Hollywood stars who frequent the restaurant when they're in town.

Once you taste Joso's clams or mussels, others will be thrown back into the sea.

Eating the seafood risotto, you can feel the mist of the sea on your face.

To keep the experience close and personal, a plate of whole, raw fish is brought to the table -- a United Nations of fish from everywhere in the world -- and patrons can choose their meal that way.

Joso's grilling recipes are backed by hundreds of years of experience. Fishermen from the Adriatic Sea taught Joso's grandparents about the love from the sea.

Pasta is cooked with the ink of the squid; the sauce takes more than 12 hours to make.

Gamberini, which I highly recommend, are the largest prawn you have ever seen. The taste is beyond your wildest fantasy.

Desserts are in a league of their own here, as well.

Amaretto tartufo is almond ice cream coated with crushed amaretto biscotti, then a sprinkle of amaretto liqueur and whipped cream.
