Mosaic does...September

The Danforth Mosaic BIA extends an invitation to you to celebrate the life and culture of our area of Toronto. We have planned a weekend of fun and entertainment for all to enjoy. Sidewalk events include items for sale like delicious treats served to you on the street by local merchants. Get a sneak peek at our 'Dine Around' event which goes from Sept. 10th 'til Sept. 30th by enjoying foods from around the globe offered up to you in dozens of locations from Jones to Westlake.

Mosaic does...September Festival

Drop in to Robertson Parkette, (located just west of Danforth and Coxwell) on Saturday Sept.10^th for lots of family fun including free live musical performances by local bands and artists. Bands such as "The Crunge" (who recently opened for KISS) and popular Toronto classic rock & blues artists "H to Oh!" will entertain during the afternoon. Check out booths and vendors in the park for a multitude of activities geared towards all different ages, many at low or no cost to you.

Live stage entertainment supporting "The East General Hospital" is scheduled as follows:

We will also have face painting, arts and crafts (courtesy of The East York Mirror), vendors of various handmade items and food from local merchants. Thanks to Dragonz Martial Artz Centre (www.Dragonz.ca) and The East York Mirror (www.insidetoronto.com/community/eastyork) for their support of this festival.

On Saturday Sept. 10th from 5-8 pm celebrate the beginning of the Ethiopian New Year with the sights and sounds of this community and enjoy ethnic tastes and textures when you attend.

We hope that our September Festival will help to lead you into the 2011 Autumn season while you embrace the wide and varied traditions of our neighbourhood through music, food and conversation with those around you.

The Danforth Mosaic BIA was formed in 2008 to support and help promote local stores, restaurants and other businesses along the Danforth. The Danforth Mosaic BIA is the longest of Toronto's 68 business improvement areas, stretching from Jones Avenue (near Donlands Avenue) to Westlake Avenue (near Main Street), and covers more than 485 businesses.

Mosaic does...Dine Around

The Danforth Mosaic BIA "Dine Around" event goes from September 10th until September 30 on an annual basis. There are enough locations that you could have a different meal three times a day and still not be able to sample them all, but your taste buds will thank you for trying!
