Get ready for the Toronto Food & Wine Festival

September 11, 2015

Last October, on a bright stage at The Delicious Food Show, celebrity chefs including Mario Batali, Tyler Florence and Chuck Hughes gathered to talk about food.

As if that weren’t epic enough. And then the announcement came – Food & Wine Magazine would be taking over the show next year and the first stop? Toronto!

And this year’s Toronto Food & Wine Festival - happening September 18-20 - promises not to disappoint.

First of all, there’s the venue:

How cool to transform Evergreen Brick Works into a food and wine mecca. The large event space has everything from The Cookbook Store and Evergreen Brick Works Farmers Market to a PC Grand Tasting Pavilion, a space for Chef Talks, Miele celebrity stage, a VIP lounge and of course, Café Belong.

The stunning views and landscapes are the ideal backdrop for such a monumental occasion and event.

Secondly, let’s talk about the celebs:

There’s Daniel Boulud, Chuck Hughes, Gail Simmons, Curtis Stone and Tyler Florence for just a start. Food & Wine’s Dana Colwin, wine gurus Mark Oldman and Anthony Giglio, and Canada’s own chefs Mark McEwan, Antonio Park and Roger Mooking will be on hand. And that’s just the beginning.

For the first time ever, Cochon 555 is bringing its insanely popular marquee events series to Canada during the first two days of the Festival, featuring both EPIC Cochon and Heritage BBQ events.

It’s almost too much to take. Almost.

And then there are all the activities:

There’s an intimate Chef Talk Series, the Exclusive Chef Series with a hands on workshop and dem, and Terroir Master Classes such as Knife Skills and Soba from Scratch. Oneophiles will love the tutored tastings, home cooks will want to stock up at All The Best Cookbooks.

What a blockbuster event. So get tickets right now because you don’t want to miss a minute of this.

Bonus - we’ll be covering the event live on Friday and we’ll have more news coming your way over the next week, so stay tuned!
